Temperature and cold chain
In food, pharma and biologics, temperature is not just another indicator: it decides whether the load is usable or discarded. And it has to be provable afterwards.
What it includes
Vortex records every probe reading continuously, ties it to the dispatch and generates the trip certificate with excursions flagged and their duration.
- Multiple probes per vehicle or compartment
- Wired and wireless Bluetooth probes
- Thresholds by cargo type, not only by vehicle
- Excursion alert with accumulated duration
- Logging through power cuts on backup battery
- Temperature certificate per dispatch
- Door opening correlated with the thermal jump
- History retained for audits
How it works
Threshold per load
The same truck may carry chilled product on one trip and frozen on the next. The threshold travels with the dispatch, not with the vehicle, so the alert makes sense in each operation.
Excursions with context
Not every out-of-range reading is a problem. Vortex measures how long it stayed out and correlates with door opening, so a scheduled unload does not raise a non-conformity.
Proof for the auditor
The per-dispatch certificate includes the full curve, the excursions, the device that measured and its last calibration. It is the document the customer and the health authority ask for.
