Driver behaviour
The device's accelerometer and gyroscope catch manoeuvres that GPS alone cannot see. Vortex turns them into a score that is comparable across drivers, routes and periods.
What it includes
The goal is not punishment: it is identifying who should be coached, which route concentrates harsh manoeuvres, and whether road-safety campaigns are moving the needle.

How it works
A comparable score
A driver covering 8,000 km a month cannot be compared with one covering 800 using raw event counts. Vortex normalises by distance and route type so the ranking reflects conduct, not exposure.
Speed against the road
Beyond the limit you define, Vortex checks speed against the limit of the road the vehicle is actually on. That avoids false positives on stretches where the fleet-wide limit does not fit.
From data to action
Every event is tied to the driver, the vehicle and the stretch. With video telematics enabled the clip attaches itself, and the conversation with the driver stops being an argument about perceptions.
